Fettucine ragù bolognese

I wish I could have documented the gloriousness that was my first meal in Rome (especially after traveling, fresh pizza sliced on the spot and paid for by the kg at I supplì couldn't have come at a better time), but it was so crowded with locals I couldn't manage to snap a shot. However, I'm sure I will be back there many times before my time here is up so there will be room for that later.

After my (accidental) three-hour nap some of us went out and got our first dinner in Rome, and after strolling back and forth through the side streets of Trastevere we ended up at a small ristorante run by a cute little lady with whom I was able to practice un po' d'italiano. I ordered the fettucine ragù bolognese as some simple comfort food without fuss, and so it delivered. The pasta seemed homemade and it was a cozy meal. I'm ready to knock out once again so it seems these blog posts are going to be kept short and sweet but I may go back to edit my arrival post. Buona notte, Roma!
